thank you David, I am sure it would satisfy me and would certainly look better than it does now with a 90's radio hanging out of it on one side.
Got one of the new dash panels that holds five gauges...

Could someone please comment on the woodgrain finish on these dashes that has actually laid hands on one. I know the fit is good.
My original dash has holes cut in it I want to eliminate and fill...

Need the metal housing out to install a bearing bushing. Do no want plastic insert.
Guess I can slip the whole mast off with the above steps with the drop still attached.

The plastic portion of my bushing is gone but the metal outer needs to be removed. Is there any way to accomplish this without pulling the entire column mast ? Thinking maybe filling a cut in it...

Thanks guys, the ease with which I bent this one and smooth finish on the back lead me to believe I need to just buy a USA made new one. I know the Rock Valley ones are very high quality plating.

Mine have no washers inside. When you sa radius are you talking about the overall arch of the bumper or the deep arch of the ribs ?

Trouble with using o ring or gasket it has to be fairly thick and fuel resistant to seal the flange. If you just use a regular o ring it is not thick enough to absorb the crush needed to seal. ...

I think a friend can get his tig welding to seal after I cut the heck of one of Henry's bright ideas. The lead is not a good crush material to seal something as primitive as the flanged steel neck...

Filler neck is not drake, and the original is not rusty.
I am wondering if I should put the fender on and position the filler tube prior to tightening the threaded neck against the lead seal,...

Got the neck out, pipe sealant on threads of pipe threaded neck and it was not leaking. The leak was occurring at the second arrow where the flanged neck slides inside the pipe neck.
Had a lead...

Got the spanner and neck won't unscrew, maybe have to remove the wheel and use a persuader pipe ?

I think that is why drake and the others sell this aftermarket rubber connector. Its not like regular gas hose and can be stretched to fit the short neck on the tank, clamped, and then will still...
