Re: Model B engine transmission and brakes on Model A

I have installed '32 brakes on the front of 2 Model A's. Use '32 backing plates drum and all internal parts. No modifications required. They work well.

Brass Replacement Rear Main With Thrust Surface . Bratton's PN 8949.
It works very well. We just set one up with.002 clearance. No oil leaks yet.

Remove the floorboard and the inspection plate. Rotate the engine with the crank and look for a Clutch Disc Torsion Spring out of place. If so, bummer!

Had that problem on a 31 slant front door. The housing had broken off (welds). Found it at the bottom of the pillar and welded it back in place. Easy fix.

The power to the Head Light Switch is taken from the screw on the CutOut. The Yellow/Black wire goes to the fuse. The other wire (?color) is power for lights.

I use a dual belt crank pulley (3 1/2") from SOS. Front belt standard Model A. Back belt is standard AC belt (11A1320) and 5 1/2" clutch on compressor.
