Re: Roof Rail Seals

Dobie,
I replaced the roof rail weatherstrips on my '55 Vicky with ones from Restoration Specialities. It was 10 years ago, but checking back I found the part number was 55VIC, which I think they...

Re: starter problems

On my '55 I had a similar problem with the whirring starter, it worked on the bench but I replaced it anyhow with a starter a friend had and still it wouldn't engage. It turned out that the ring gear...

Re: 1955/56 Ford Sedan Rear Window Defrost

Being in the UK where we get a lot of damp and cold weather I've found the best option for defrosting windows is to use the AC. Unfortunately I've never had AC in my own cars, but I find it always...

Re: 1955 Ford Club Sedan Refresh Blog

Nice work so far Rev! It's going to be beautiful.

Re: '55 Vicky steering wheel off centre

Thanks fellas for your input.
I've set it up today and it's worked a treat.
It's nice not to have the speedo obscured by the steering wheel!

Hello fellas,

A bit of advice needed regarding straightening my 55's steering wheel.
It's about 90 degrees out of line.
I'm shortly going to have a laser alignment job done, but I would like to...

Re: Horn honking randomly!

I've managed to fix it!
The rubber pad under the centre badge was loose, so I dabbed a bit of glue on both ends of it, reassembled it and now my horn works perfectly with no more embarrassing random...

Re: Horn honking randomly!

Thanks everyone for your help. I guessed that the problem would be under the button somehow, now I've got an idea what to check out. I'll let you know how I get on!

Thanks,
Chris

Horn honking randomly!

Hello,
Another question for the experts on here.

The horn on my '55 Vicky occasionally honks without any input from me.
I replaced the relay recently after rebuilding the horns, then when this...

Re: Hello from the UK and '55 Vicky question

Thanks again fellas.
I've just found a photo of another Vicky which was recently on eBay which had similar gutter extensions.
I think it's probably some kind of vintage JC Whitney accessory. ...

Re: Hello from the UK and '55 Vicky question

Thanks fellas for your replies.
I didn't explain myself very clearly on the previous post.
I don't think the '55s had window flippers, only the '56 up cars if my memory serves me right.
Here's a...

Hello from England,

I've been visiting this site and the HAMB for quite a few years now, and as I'm now getting time to work on my '55 Victoria I thought it's time to sign up for some expert...
