Re: Are "$ Doors Classics"

If defined as a classic hot rod or muscle car, then I'd say No
But if defined as historically classic,...

Re: Engine size

I understand why owners are concerned about the true identity of their Yblocks. After decades of them being around, being rebuilt and modified, actually knowing the cid can be a challenge. I...

Re: 1955 Ford Car Wheel Offset

Here's some info I got a few years ago when trying to get the correct wheels for my '56. It might help:

Lay the wheel on a flat surface, front side facing down.
Lay the yardstick across the top...

I noticed you posted in the HAMB 52-59 social group. There's also a WANTED section in the classifieds you might want to post this too. Link to it:

Re: Frame VIN Location 1956 Merc

The VIN is often stamped in more than one location. My '56 Fairlane's is stamped on the frame rail on top right side, about as evintho also described. It is also stamped along the top of the frame...

Re: Source needed for cheap seat covers

Okay I did some more checking and another Ford bud sent me a link for them on eBay. Not exact but they are for split 50/50 seat backs so with some tugging & tucking, they might work for a '41 and...

Re: Source needed for cheap seat covers

I couldn't find any on eBay with a split back, all I saw were solid. I didn't realize finding economy seat covers for split back seats would be so difficult.

Re: 1958 w/power windows

My guess is that it might have been an option to get either - power fronts only - or all 4 doors. That was in the heart of the baby boomer era, parents might've had a choice whether or not to have...

Re: 1968 Country Squire Windshield Wipers

Re: 1958 ford flywheel

That's what I was wondering? I don't remember Ford selling a 6384 for AT flex-plates/flywheels but I may be mistaken. # should be EAA-6384-A for most MT flywheels that year.
