First start
I started my 49 8BA today for the first time. Everything went fine. I used all the suggestions that i have read on the Ford Barn about first start ups. No leaks and about 28lbs oil pressure....

Update: I have ordered a large suction syringe with a small and long enough hose that i should be able to get around the steering box gear and suck all the old oil out of the steering box and then...

Cornhead grease and steering gear oil.
Will cornhead grease mix with steering gear oil? I have a slow leak on the steering gear on my 49 Ford car. oil looks to be about half way down in the gear box. I don't really want to start loosening...

I read an article that says the ethanol type gas will cause the sealer put in tanks to eventually turn to goo and clog up fuel systems. Anyone had problems with this ?
