Re: Marco Tahtaras
This is such sad news to hear. A tremendous loss to his family and to the Model A hobby. He was one of the real Model A experts and so willing to share his knowledge.

Re: Interior Clock Mirror
If your looking for a new one, A&L was the only one making them. Unfortunately I don't think they are making them any longer.
Sometimes original one show up on Ebay or Facebook Marketplace.

Re: 6V to 12V converter
Herb is correct, that solenoid works just fine with a stock 6 Volt system. No need for a 6 to 12 volt inverter.

Re: Rear view mirror - interior
A&L Model A Parts used to make this reproduction clock-mirror and they were pretty decent. However, I don't think they make this any longer.

Re: Tow Insurance
I used AAA to tow my Model A to my friends garage to use his facilities to change the clutch. No problems, the only requirement is that the A had to be registered.

Re: Embarking on a Laycock-overdrive odyssey
I concur with Herb, the overdrive works fine off the 6 volt positive ground system. One toggle switch and a single wire. Don't forget the reverse lock out switch you need to add to the transmission...

Re: Overdrive
I have no problem with the 6 volts activating the solenoid on my Laycock OD. But one thing you do need is to have clean connections and use 14 or 12 gauge wire for the electrical connections. This...

Re: Transmission gear gringing
Just to confirm, with engine off, if you put the transmission IN 1st, and push the clutch to the floor, does the engine start right up with no problem.
Just checking to see if the clutch disc is...

Yes, driven cross country 3 times. It is an amazing opportunity to see many beautiful parts of this country on the roads less traveled. My avatar is looking out at Devils Tower.
