The only time you know the compressor is running is by looking at the ammeter.
Ken Davis's kit is THE best, custom made to fit Model A's.

Can these holes be used for the seat adjustment slides? Years ago, when I did mine, my seat adjuster slides where never removed from the bottom of the seat tub. Good luck maybe someone else will...

I got 7,800 miles on my Universals on my 31 slant Town Sedan. The Goodyears lasted 14,500 before they were replaced last year. I now have European Classic so I'll see how long they last.

Hi Dick, the solenoid used on that O/D will work just fine on 6V. Even though it was designed to be used in 12V cars.

I've given up on the tank or firewall valves. Both my cars have ball valves in the line up close by the sediment bowl. Have not had a problem in15 years.

try using a multimeter set to resistance. one probe on the end metal tab on the horn rod and the other probe on ground. you should have an open, no reading on the meter. Pressing the horn button...

Clean the commutator with 400 sandpaper. May have remove the insulation between the commutator copper segments (called under cutting).

Make sure you remove all the old hard rubber so that cavity is clean, no debris. You have to hand trim the rubber pieces based on your door alignment.

You have a short somewhere in the horn assembly. With brushes isolated from ground (motor frame). The field coils should been open with respect to the horn frame.
