The 1961 401 starliner is one of the nicest ford's ever built. It could do low 13"s in the quarter mile if tuned right . I had many in my friends ,it was a great car. I went with him to the dealer...

50 years ago I had an Essex with pinholes in the oil pan .I took it to a radiator shop and they put a layer of lead in bottom. It still holds oil.

In the 1950 's I was in this yard. All the cars are black because any old black paint he could find was used to preserve and protect them. All the grass was neatly cut like a lawn ,even trimmed...

In the 1950's u s royal made tires with all the rubber from the whitewall to the tread in colors. I think it came in blue, green and brown. I remember cleaning them when working in a car wash....

I tell people my 1928 roadster pickup has cruise control (throttle),keyless entry (no door locks),air conditioned (plenty of fresh air)and 21"wheels that are in style today

I have an original 1928 ford roadster pickup with 28,000 miles. Truck is solid and not going to be restored. I would like to buy a good used top from someone who is replacing there top with a new one.

a friend put steel wool in place of paper in the air cleaner of a 1961 ford starliner 3 carb 401.Increased the air flow but got in and ruined the motor.
