AA Transmission Replacement

Is it possible to change the AA Transmission with a F-150 transmission? the truck presently has 5.16 rear end. Will this help to get the truck up to 50 mph with less RPM then original trans.?

Marty in Ohio By all indications it is an early '31 Blindback. I have read they were only made in Jan, Feb and Mar. It is a Straight windshield and does have a backseat arm rest with the interior...
