I have run 3Xs in the past but now run W-18s. The W-18s run a little cooler than the 3Xs with my set up.

Aw, wish I had known. It would have been fun to spectate. :cool: All I did yesterday was take the Sedan out for a cruise along the beach. We're only about 1 hours away (in the modern).

Yes 12v. That is the one I use. I use the FL-3 because it has a connection for a pilot (indicator) light.
I'm running red LEDs in the rear and amber incandescent bulbs in my headlight reflectors...

We just use an old 55 gal. drum under the car. Don't know if this would work on a Model A tho...:eek::eek:

The 3x are about equal to the W-18 according to this info on Ford Garage. I'm running the W18's now, they seem to run better than the 3X with a 5.5 head (cheaper too!). The 3X seemed too hot for my...

Haha, I think you're right! Mr. Blockhead indeed!! But the name comes from my 'other' passion. Ford's first OHV Y-8, The Y-Block made from 1954-1964.

As I posted in the other thread, here is a picture of the one on my Town Sedan. As far as I know, Mike's A-Ford-Able is the only vender that sold them and they are not listed in their catalog...
