Re: 8 volt battery in 6 volt car

Use the "Search" button in the black bar near the top of the page for this subject ("8 volt battery", be sure to use the quote marks). My advice would be to fix what is wrong and not introduce other...

Just a couple of suggestions. Check out in the archives (use the Search box in the black bar near the top of the page) any company or person before you buy anything. Put your general location in...

Re: Is there such a thing as a 6 volt heater?

If you are asking about a heater where 6 volts is used to run the fan and hot water to provide the heat the answer is yes. If you mean 6 volts to supply the heat the answer is probably no and if you...

Re: 12 volt headlight options

There are two types of sealed beam kits available. One type places the sealed beam behind the original lens. It looks great (until you turn it on) but the original lens try to focus the already...

Re: 1939- 1940 Ford brake + clutch petal assy

The '40 unit is much more reasonable because the '39 unit is the one most people want for hydraulic brake conversions, supply and demand. The key difference if the location the the clutch throw out...

Re: VIN number 1930-A

I think the CHP will use their own number when they do the stamping but it never hurts to ask.

Re: Early'32 Grill shell- chrome??? wall hanger

Re: 1935 16 inch wire wheel

I would suggest putting a "wanted" ad in the newsletters of the local Model A and Early Ford V8 clubs since shipping is expensive. Also dealing local is nice since you can inspect them yourself. ...

Re: 1932 Model B water pumps

Remember they can be rebuilt as leakless if you find the right guy. Also note the '33-'34 pumps are shorter and cannot be used in a '32 (see photo).

I suggest you put your general location in your profile. An "OK" swap meet close might be a good swap meet.

Re: VIN number 1930-A

Resolving this should be YOUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY. How do you know you don't have a stolen car and a phony title someone bought off of EBAY? Resolve it quickly while the person you bought it from...

Re: VIN number 1930-A

Replacement Model A blocks (not complete engines) did not have serial numbers. Model B blocks (if that happens to be what you have) didn't have serial numbers.

Your registration is for an...

Re: Drum / hub retainer

I don't believe that the old style weld / bolt on rear drum retainer will fit over the drum as the wheel bearings bearings were larger in '34 (I think through '36). I am running what you are talking...

Re: 1930 Tudor Brake Light Switch Location

There should be only one wire going to the brake light switch. A second wire coming out of the switch at the end of the steering column should go directly to the tail light. If someone has added...
