Re: Brazilian flathead with clear heads

Pretty darn neat to watch. I’d love taking it to cruise night.

Re: Mail order dual exhaust systems

From Waldrons, when I ordered their exhaust for the ‘37 in 2016, they offered free shipping to the nearest Fastenal store. In my case that was about 20 miles from me, was a really good deal. You get...

Re: Walt dupont

Today I went to the Gardiner waterfront park car show and sitting there was Walt DuPont.
I easily spotted his Ford with the 4 carbs and he was sitting behind it in the shade, we talked a good while...

Thank you everyone for the information responses, those should help me in the future as well. There was a weight listed on a plate in the glove box but now I know that was the GVW, and not veh....

F1 Panel truck weight

Can anyone tell me of a website for older ford trucks? Iíve had no luck finding such a site. I would like to know the weight of a Ď51 panel f1, and more info at a later time. Thanks

Re: help: Trunk won't open

I am SixVolt and might have a remedy for your problem. I am hoping that the latch mechanism is the same as on my 37 Ford because mine had a similar problem last year.
The handle will turn but will...

Re: 1961 Fords - Where have they all gone?

I agree with “Merchman from oz” that their aren’t many 61 Fords around, they are a favorite of mine too. But because they are scarce, whenever one does show up somewhere they always draw an admiring...

Re: Happy birthday to me

Happy Birthday Lawson, be sure and keep oil in the crankcase and in the shocks and replace your air filter periodically, you'll keep purring just like an old flathead does.

Re: 54 runs hot at low RPM or sitting still

Just as paul2748 mentioned set the initial timing there, then hook up the vacuum canister, if so equipped, make sure the canister is working properly to further advance timing at idle, check with a...

Re: 1961 Fords - Where have they all gone?

There is a really nice blue 61 Ford Tudor, 292 and fordamatic today on the Hemmings site.
Worth taking a look at.

Re: 57 Ford - O - Matic needs adjusting

If this is a home repair and not on a lift be certain to chalk the wheels good. One day I was only going to check out something insignificant under my car, just take 1/2 a minute, then while I was...

Re: 84 birthday today

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OL RON, I hope you are well. I'll bet with a stethoscope your heart sounds just like a Ford FH V8, running smooth and purring sweet like a young kitten. God Bless U.

Re: Fuel filters and why did it let me down.

You didn't say what those particles looked like. I notice a rubber hose, (looks like after the filter,) a flexible hose is necessary to counter vibration and engine movement but remember if your...

Re: Exhaust Manifold Gasket

A year ago I put on a complete Waldrons exhaust system on my 37, nice fit, no leaks. All eight gaskets are the same, and like JM 35 said antiseeze on the threads. It's a dual exh. system with...

Re: Binding? Passenger Window Forearm Muscles.

Few years back had a similar problem with one of my cars, your repair should include a visual inspection too. In my case a spot weld had let go causing the window to get forced to one side and bind...

Re: 37 hood sides fitment

Just this spring I re-assembled the 37's radiator after cleaning/repair work, (all original) thought maybe extra thick body gaskets would be nice and comfy under the radiator, to sit on. Later...

Re: Steering box adj.

Thanks JSeery, I'll try getting one separated at a time and working it out.
I think I can come up with a long thin blade, and maybe grind down an old needle nose pliar to fit in there a bit for this...

Thumbs up A few tiny leaks

I reinstalled the clean radiator and have all new hoses. This past Saturday filled the cooling system, this is on my 37, ran the engine to warm up twice. Monday I saw coolant leaking down the heads...
