Grease fittings

Lubing my 45B, and found I have a grease fitting on either end of my clutch shaft. The one that goes thru the bell housing. The fittings are on the bottom, one on each end. I wonder if these were...

Agree with Gary, had same issues, more than a couple of normal starts and battery was dead. Not sure exactly how old battery was. Changed to 6 volt Optima. No more issues.

Had big time foaming after 15 mile trip. No over heating just much foaming. Stopped, cleaned up foam off windshield and paint. Added gallon of water. Finished 35 miles no issues. Next day drained...

I had my 1930 coupe painted that color with the correct pinstripe, and after much research by my painter that has been in business for many years he came up with what I consider the correct colors....

Had to gently tap mine in after the index pin hit the hole in the head. Did the same thing the last time I had it out and it was no problem removing it this time when I replaced head gasket. GENTLY

rear axle bearing lube

Do not want to over or under grease rear bearing. The bearings are new and hand packed 2000 miles ago. Would like some thoughts on this.

I agree with syncrho909.My 30 coupe runs 160 with stat. Hardly ever add liquid. Keep level just above fins, may need a flashlight to look at an angle in the rad to see level just over tubes.

I use them I think they help keep dirt out, you cant see them anyway with the wheels on.

Those are for small flags, probably have to rig your own. If you have a patriot guard unit around you they put big flags on their motorcycles for veteran funerals. They may have a good mount.

Check suppliers for a hold down bracket besides these two little holders. The top will secure the group one battery, most A suppliers have them, attaches to existing battery tray.

Just replaced original rear mounts with float a motor. Front mount original. Parts were with basket case when I acquired it some 20 years ago. Check for babbit in oil when changing, possibly damaged...

sure sounds like excessive crank play to me. Had the same noise and issues. Corrected most of it with engine mount adjustment (float a motor). Crank the motor, push in the clutch and see if the front...
