I looked at this a long time ago along with a couple of the other A's he had, yes the Town car was basically just the body, I do think it finally did get sold

A 1931 just sold at auction up here in New York, this was an older restored one that was done correctly and still in great shape sold for $13,800

If you can not find one in the US try Grainger & Worrall in Britian (Telford, Shropshire) it is a very modern plant and they cast the majority of the racing blocks used in NASCAR.
