Not always, sometimes they can be a real bear to get the wheel off the shaft, especially if the nut had been overtightened and they've been together for a long time.

FWIW, that large nut on the spare tire carrier is the same as the rear axle nut. I know because I "borrowed" one one time when we lost an axle nut on the road.

How many turns out are the jet needles set at? Usually set at 1&1/2 turns out for starters.

On one of the spokes, make a bracket to mount the pickup. Some of the bicycle speedos are susceptible to RFI from the engine.
