I just had my 40 recored for $200 by cap-a-radiator a real rad shop not too many left who work on vintage cars,i wish drake or somebody would repro old ford heater cores,im sure they would be swamped...

very nice pair of fog lights made by hall light mfg,these are 6v with GE amber sealbeams in working cond,perfect chrome,these mount on to front bumper brackets and have correct mounting...

very nice pair of fog lights made by hall lamp 6volt with working GE amber bulbs ,chrome is exellent ,these attach to your front bumper brackets ,may fit other years also

if your 3 speed is open drive I would put a later rear like an 8in ford with 3:50 3:25 gearing,i had a 46 pu w/4speed open drive,replaced rear with an 70s torino rear and ran 65 mph, just had to...

I had a 40 pu w/8ba w/6 blade fan very noisy in 1st and 2nd but ok in hi gear,ran ice cold even in traffic

im restoring a 40 heater now,i had about 3" of old wiring left to solder new wires too,if the motor is good and you have some old wiring to attach new wiring too, do what big job said ,you could run...

getting back to the question diamond back recommends you use simple green on there white wall radials and not to use steel wool as they will turn the whitewalls yellow in time

im restoring a 40 heater right now mine has the trim and small clips luckey,i think you could use small machine screws like 6-32 or 4-40 with the heads ground down a little and a nut to hold them on...

they sell 1 3/4 thermostat housings for the 8ba or you can just cut a piece of 1 1/4 hose and put it over you existing housings and clamp a 1 3/4 hose over it

bob drake makes one for a 40 I see no reason why you couldn't use it in a 41.not cheap at $850 I think early productions used them in 1941

I bought a 53 caddy motor off a guy he used seat belts tied around the exhaust manifolds,i have since used them the to install a flathead with good results
