In most cases (more cases than many realize) Steele gets there rubber from other vendors like drake carpenter etc. at this moment carpenter is your only option

This seller seems to be claiming his parts are "Made in USA" and the points appear to be without a doubt Carpenter points which are made in India...I am unaware of any US made points.

Jim I ordered five sets of echlin, five of standard, and five of those WVE points. Those WVE points were rather impressive but then again I only tried one set. I’ll report back next week on how they...

Re: Distributor vacuum brake question

On my cars I have the vacuum line plugged and use only slight tension on the piston. Personally on today’s fuels I don’t think the vacuum brake function is needed on a stock flathead engine.

I just got 500 of them back from the plater last week. Engine steady rod bolts. These were done on a CNC, and the squares broached in.

I this week ordered 15 sets of standard points and had to return 9 of them. Went to my local Napa and had them order In 10 sets of echlin, and luckily only had to return two of the ten sets. ...

For such a simplistic designed front end, I have learned twice now that getting the proper cowl to hood and shell to hood gaps and alignment on a 1932 can be more challenging at times than it would...

FYI to the original poster. Carpenter's reached back out to me to inform they see no point in producing a Taupe mat, as the Benton Gray mat is close in color and fits 35-36. I tried my best to inform...

That’s the exact same I’ve used in the early 32-35 mats to match the taupe color. Both my 32 and 33 mats were painted with it.
