An inexpensive Multi-Meter from Harbor Freight will do the job. Just set it on 20 DC volts and it will tell you the voltage.

Not all Model a rims are perfectly true. A slightly bent rim can give you a false reading. I use the following method to set the toe in.

I agree with 30 Closed Cab post #3. It is entirely possible that you will not see any coolant leaks around the engine or coolant in the engine oil. You certainly could have a blown head gasket...
