well problem found,the thermostat on the passenger side moved out of postion and was standing up instead of laying flat .this kept the hot water from entering the heater hose .unusual ...

thanks guys ,im going to have to remove the thermostats and do the boiling water test .Yes i have heard of them becoming unseated before .This is very strange .

So your answer is that i change the sending unit to an 80lb and the 50lb gauge will not peg over off the map ?

I stared at my drivers side firewall until i was cross eyed using all of the photos the members have sent me on this thread . There are simply no holes that line up for the kidney...

it is a 12 volt system I forgot to say . I thought someone would say something about the timing/changing to Pertronix ??? But the valve lash will be checked im sure. But always go with the easiest...
