Re: Henrietta rules

I agree. To some it is fun, but to others it is like a dunce hat, go sit in the corner. A golf group I belonged to gave all kinds of awards including high score where the unlucky winner was paraded...

Re: International Model A Day

We did a bit of a "drive about." Met at Hooter's and went around some of the roads less traveled and ended up at Canyon Lakes Golf Course for our noon day meal. Then we each went our own ways and I'm...

Re: Model A car names

Bought a 29 roadster that had belonged to Allen Funt of Candid Camera Fame. Was told I could use the license plate, "SMILE29", then told "No, they may want to put the plates on another 29. So I got...

Re: When is it time to sell?

No one in my family seems to have any interest in any old cars older than the Muscle cars and Ferraris. Grand kids ride with me sometimes and are thrilled to get home to their internet toys. I still...

Re: When is it time to sell?

Well I did decide some time ago that I wanted to thin the herd and was happy with two Model A's in the garage. Mess with them and not have to move too much around to do it with all my tools and the...

Re: When is it time to sell?

BILL,, I'm thinking of getting two coupes out of my garage, one being "Vermin" in your avatar. Not that Vermin and the other coupe aren't good cars, but I do know they all need a bit of TLC and I...

When is it time to sell?

I have three Model A's, 82 years old, not the best of health but enjoy a bit of fooling with them. It is getting much harder to do things, took me a week to install A/C in a coupe and two days to...

Re: Stuck head

A friend made one out of a 3/4 inch thick steel plate the size of a head gasket. He laid a head gasket on top of it and marked all the holes, except the very front two. Drilled the holes and tapped...

Re: 16 inch wheels

With the Ford 19 inch radials on the Ford 19 rims does one need to use a tube or will the 19 work as tubeless? Also on Kelsey Hayes 19's?
Just wondering, As for the original question I notice so...

Re: Hood Center Rod Diameter

I had bad luck with the center tube and the drill motor. I did it quite slowly and carefully with a goodly dash of sewing machine oil to lube it up. About half way out it grabbed and looked like the...

Re: Alignment Question

Along with that, do you mark your tires then push the car forward to get the next measurement or can you mark them and move the car backward to get the measurement. I'm serious, does it make a...

Re: 2nd Gear Whine

I have similar sounds with even some noise upon deceleration in 3rd. I think I will pull the tranny come winter and look at everything inside. Hoping the noise is not telegraphing forward from the...

Re: Starter question

Will have to check out the starter closely as it was "new rebuild" when we installed it from a local parts house believed to furnish good parts. That said I have purchased brake cylinders that had...

Re: Starter question

Sorry to have caused controversy. I will check the brace. I doubt it exists as I helped him replace the battery and install a rebuilt starter.about twenty years ago. By the time we finished the the...

Re: GPS Help!

Bought a Garmin and asked grandson to set it up. Later I threw it into the glove box on the car. Two or three years went by and I tried to put in an address. No go, no maps. Hooked it up to my...

Re: Out making smiles

I try to get one of my cars out and about at some time during the day. People in the neighborhood smile and wave. Most make a horn honking motion if they know about the awhooga horn. Many stop in my...

Re: MAFCA renewal

I wrote a little book and published it. Selling for $18.00+ on Amazon and I will be over 100 years old before I break even. Creating a magazine is costly and I'm sure our subscriptions alone would...

Re: Battery-Harness
