Yup! Marco also has a great tutorial on how a "Duby" gauge functions. There are a ton of ways to do this procedure. Some simple and some not so simple. But the end results are the same.

That is the exact set up I threw away. the only thing of any real quality was the front axle mounts.

Fought this stuff for years and finally removed the "modern" tube shocks and promptly threw them away. Stepped up tall and bought Bill Stipe. (Stipe Machine). I found them to be worth every penny....

Yup....if memory serves me I think it was required that that stuff be on the steering column. I still have mine on the column but also use a cigar box under the driver's seat.

Crud in the interior of the gas cap. Start and the second it dies remove the gas cap slowly. If you hear a whoosh the cap is not venting. Remove cap and start. if it runs fine that's the culprit.

John nailed it. Go to an auto upholstery shop or supply warehouse. Ask them for edge wire. In this case it looks like a 8 or 9 inch length will do. There are special fasteners that crimp the new edge...

The hole goes on the double nutted part of the points. The tang portion points down and rides on the wireless plate. Take your time and if done correctly will work quite well. Have many miles on mine...
