Grease fittings on my steering box, 7 tooth.

Hello,

Can I assume that Grease fittings on my steering box, 7 tooth, are incorrect? What if there is grease in there? I acquired the car last August and have no background on the car.

Thanks!

Re: Sagging 1 1/2 in rear driver side

My big problem is the sagging. Yes, it returns to normal when you pick up driver front. What can cause that?

Sagging 1 1/2 in rear driver side

My 28 A Tudor is sagging by 1 1/2 inch. Where would be a good place to look first?

Thanks

Do Inserts replace Babbitt Bearings?

Do Inserts replace Babbitt Bearings for crank and cam - elsewhere? What would a person need to buy when replacing rods and pistons with new.

Thank you.

Re: Whatever happened to the surface mail option?

Yeah, that's one of the new ways to make money at the Post Office. In some cases it takes 3 days to do "Priority Mail" from MA to CT!!! They also will not offer you info on which size box you need...

Steering Stabilizer

Until I can afford a conversion steering box (approx $800), does anyone know if a steering stabilized would help with the play in the steering wheel? Thanks.

Water Outlet Neck Removal and Torque

Re: Grease Fitings

I got the tank from MACs. Be sure to order the correct size as MACs literature says the 4 sizes all fit, which they do not. After an incorrect order, I settled on the smaller tank as it fit along...

Re: Grease Fitings

Great quick responses. Thanks.

Not going for points. I prefer driving over shows but I do like keeping it reasonably stock. I fretted over spending double on headlight lenses today. I have two...

Grease Fitings

Hi,

Happy 2018!

Below should be a picture of a shackle. Am I correct that those are old school grease fittings and that the second picture is the tip that's required to grease them?

Thanks.

Re: Steering Box

Hello daveymc29,

Did you lower the car for the 16in tires as their would be a difference in height of 2.5 in on '28 - '29 or 1.5 inch on '30s and '31?

Thanks for all answers.
