Re: 28 Canadian Roadster questions
Thanks for the info. I don't think Canadian cars ever had the indented firewall, but I have the glass float bowl, not cast. I wonder how long it took to assemble the 165 cars between ours. I...

Re: 28 Canadian Roadster questions
Cool... mine is T2229. I'd be interested in knowing what you know about when yours was built, as I understand they were numbered consecutively.

Re: 28 Canadian Roadster questions
There is a good Canadian Model A history site - the Canadian model A Ford Foundation.
check cmaff.com
It has lots of the service bulletins, advertising, etc.

Re: 28 Canadian Roadster questions
My Canadian Roadster has a body number on the sill by the seat frame and just inside the top edge. In my case it starts with a T (Toronto assembly). I don't know of a list of assembly numbers...

Re: When to shut off fuel
I can't hang the key on the shutoff valve if I don't turn it off. So it goes off whenever I'm out of the car. And the battery disconnect (anti fire and theft) gets shutoff too. If it's going in the...

Re: 6V Quartz Halogen Headlight Question
I've been using the LED BA15d's for a couple years now and find they are great. Bright, very low power consumption, and even if my voltage varies a bit, there is no brightness change. And the...

Re: Speedometer accuracy
That's some really good advice, and it makes sense that a pivot is causing friction or the scale is out of balance. I suspect having it rebuilt is the safe way to go, as it does have 94,500 miles on...

Speedometer accuracy
Has anyone seen this before. I removed the speedometer (round Stewart Warner) to send in for rebuilding and found that if I hold it sideways, it shows the
correct speed. But when mounted...

Re: Canadian frame number
Hi Darryl - our engine numbers are very close, I have CAT1918. Probably a few weeks apart. It would have been nice if the Toronto builds had the model type number stamp like Windsor did.

Re: Canadian frame number
I found T2229 in that same spot - Toronto assembly. The Engine number (May 1930) is the best clue I have to when that body came down the line, but who knows how far out that may be. With any luck...

Re: Roadster door alignment
That's why this forum is great. That solves my door bottom sticking out slightly, the crack under the top snaps, and maybe the squeak on left turns.
Time to pull it back together. Thanks all.

Re: LED Headlights
I've been using LED headlamps for over a year - very happy with them. Google "ba15d double dipper". They're in England, I picked up a pair at an autoshow there last year.

Re: Fords in the Fall
Just over a week ago. Not a lot of reds this year near here, we didn't have a good frost to get them going. Lots of yellow though.

Re: Remember that first Model A?
I celebrated my first year of ownership last weekend (before the inch of snow today). I was able to locate the owner who had first restored this car in the early 60's, he lives a few miles away, and...
