I used a product called MarineTex on an old wooden boat I had with great results. Wood was severely rotted and this stuff soaked in nicely and set up hard. Kind of like Bondo on steroids.

My Fleet Is Growing
My "new" ear!y 9N Ford Ferguson from the Henry/Harry handshake fame.
Not a Model A but I think it pairs well with my 130A.
70 plus's years old and still a workhorse.

My 130A DeLuxe Delivery has a side mount because of the rear cargo door. My observation is that the side mount drivers side spare can create problems for folks with arthritis because of the limited...

I too have a knock at startup. It happens after week or two of sitting. I have found that if I crank the engine over a few times with the ignition off (pre-lube) I don't hear the knock when I start....

I like to drive my Model A on nice days in New England that can be anywhere from 40* to 90*. My 160* T-stat and Berg HD radiator keeps the engine well within the "operating range" in all conditions...
