Re: 1939 Standard coupe grille panels
Those side panels look to be in reasonable condition.
Not a bad price either.
I would buy them and then look for the 2 curved " hockey stick " s/s trim pieces and the 4 small s/s trim pieces for...

I had a 39 deluxe coupe that had the original leather option.
I think that originally only the backrest and seat cushions were genuine leather.
The remainder was leatherette dyed to match the...

Re: 1939 Standard coupe grille panels
Ford called them hood side assemblies.
PN 91A-16618/19
We called them side vents.
Should be relatively easy to get a pair from a Ford barn member or e-bay.

Re: '39 Oregon Plate
Just get those rear bumper over-riders turned over and you'll be good to go.
Or are my tired old eyes deceiving me.

Re: 39 coupe interior
I'm doing my 39 deluxe sedan in vinyl.
The seat and backrest panels will be the same colour as the rest but will have a slightly different texture to give the appearance of leather.
Here in New...

Re: Norway members?
Scammers often use the " I'm presently working on an offshore oil rig " line.
Be careful.

Re: Walnut woodgrain
Go to Grain-it Technology's website.
You will need a roller, medium brown printers' ink and a straight grain template to get close to the 38 deluxe factory finish.
Look up 1938 ford deluxe...

Re: How to remove steering wheel? (1938)
Find yourself a small steel ring gasket - the type used in the oilfield on flanges.
About 4 inches diameter.
Cut about 2 inches out of it then slip it behind the wheel.
You can then use a common 3...

Re: 40 fordor Deluxe Package tray
Bob Drake's catalog used to have a pretty comprehensive picture of what you need.
The package tray itself is made from plywood ( at least that was the case in 1939 )
There were wooden supports...

Re: 37 Replacement seats
38 seats are similar.
Look around for prices to recover them.
A semi-retired upholsterer would be ideal.
Check the EFV8 roster for club members in your area.
Good luck.
