Re: Powder Coat Removal??

Sand with 320/400 then paint. Unless the powder coat is in poor surface condition.

Re: Warning about c&g

I don't like C&G and they are in my back yard. Dennis Carpenter is much better. Backorder Bob's is useless.

Re: New block

The NOS is a wartime military engine in cosmolene since new, not a reject. The others are low mileage original engine that were all visually checked. I'll probably never use any of them since I have...

Re: XM Radio On 6 Volts Positive?

The only audio port is the USB. Don't have an XM radio. Trying to figure out which one to get. It would have to work in conjunction with a USB connection. 12v neg ground is ok since when he...

The guy that modified my stock radio tells me that to get downloaded music I simply need to get a jump drive in MP3 format and plug it in to the USB port. He tells me that the modified radio also has...

Re: XM Radio On 6 Volts Positive?

I don't need to get a whole new 12v player since my stock radio is converted to AM/FM stereo with a bigger amp. It is still 6V positive ground however. I just need a converter that will run on 5-6...

XM Radio On 6 Volts Positive?

Is there a way I can get XM radio in my 40 which has an updated stock Zenith radio with a USB port? Guess I would need some kind of a converter. Don't want to go to 12V.

Re: Ford script battery for '40?

That place is way too expensive. I paid $100 for the Ford script empty case. Only have to add the Optima battery. No points knocked off.

Re: Whining noise from my 8BA

Cut a 4 ft. length of garden hose and probe it around. You will find it.

Re: Stick On Windshield Antenna For A 40

Think I will just run my I pod with a USB cable through the stock radio (converted) and forget drilling that 7/8" hole in the roof.

Stick On Windshield Antenna For A 40

Has anyone tried one of those new windshield stick on antennas for a stock 40 radio? I got the stock radio installed but I really don't want to drill the 7/8" hole in the roof. Its claimed they get...

Re: Risk of using old (over 10 years) tires

Me too. I have an in line filter coming off the tank on the 40 wagon. I need to build a guard around it in case something hit it under there. On tires, I found a nice modern radial from Cooper...

Re: 40 Ford DLX antenna

Yes, the garnish rail is in two pieces. The center division bar on the inside of the car extends upward with a lip or tang on it to cover the gap between the garnish rails just like it has on the...

Re: 40 Ford DLX antenna

That's strange. On my 40 wagon there is the passage way thru the mirror but not a way thru the garnish rail. ???? The convertible antenna seems to long as well. I might have to cut it shorter??
