The stainless trim on my '48 Ford dash appears to have glued on fasteners-

Parking brakes

Hi gents-

I'm having trouble installing new parking brake cables on my '48 ford.
The rear cable (loop) will not pull forward enough to fasten to the front cable.
Any ideas?

What's the correct sequence for assembling my '48 Lockheed brakes?

Thanks for the ideas- this lid is for a '48 ford convert. It's
