Re: Third Gen Auto delays

Take it easy on the corners with that knee scooter. A friend had one recently after ankle surgery and he took a spill with his, operator error. Hope to see you back to full speed soon.

Re: What in Tarnation?

FYI, the full load governed speed of the Cummins 6BT and 4BT on-highway engines of the late 1980's is 2500 rpm.

Re: reliable fuel gauge? anyone?

Great pictures of the fuel tank sending unit details. Picture 3 shows the toothed wheel has a slope or ramp built into it, so I am going to guess it is used to adjust the gap of the contact points.

Re: Guility as charged ??!!

That looks like a good starting point for a project. That will look sweet when you get the V8-60 in there.

Now, take care of yourself until all this nonsense is over.

Re: Nothing better to do but work.

I have an old farm house that has plenty of opportunities for projects both inside and out. I think I also need to put together a shopping list for Third Gen to make headway on the car project since...

Re: '37 Bellhousing?

Frnkeore, the oil ports on my engine are just like yours, one pointing up and one pointing out to the left side. The angle of the picture doesn't show the one pointing outboard.

Re: 1938 Flathead V8 Race Motor-What’s it worth?

Sounds like it is time to put the motor back in the hydroplane and sell the whole package. It would be fun to get that out on the river.

I like the wide 5 wheels on the boat trailer also.

Re: What in Tarnation?

Glad to hear you survived the incident. It looked like you had the foresight to install a seat belt and use it. From the sound of the impact you would have set off the air bag if you had one.
