The interior windlace goes across the top of the door opening to act as a seal.

The number on the frame is on the driver's side under the cowl.

I agree with Brent & Mike. If a Model A is unreliable today, it's because it hasn't been restored properly. But so many people seem to think they need to be improved to be reliable transportation. ...

The lug is supposed to be swaged in the hub. They have a projection on them to keep them from turning if they are pulled tight in the hub. Some do tack weld them rather than swage but swaging is...

If they are just rusted out at the bottom, it should not be difficult to cut out a strip and make a repair piece to be welded in.

If advancing the timing made no difference then the movement of the spark lever down slightly must be moving something in the distributor which is shorting.

I've done it by masking from the bottom of the gasket up and then painting the block. Then when dry, masking from the top of the gasket down and painting the head.

Soak it in carb cleaner and then blow it out with compressed air.
