Re: Falcon Gas Funnel

the reason I use the plastic pipe is the shape of the filler tube allows the plastic pipe to wedge in place. Funnels tend to turn and I'd spill gas

Re: Falcon Gas Funnel

my '60 fairlane gas filler is behind the license plate and can be a b***h to fill with a can. I carry a short piece of 1 1/2" plastic pipe and put it in the filler tube to fill from a can.

Re: Electric Wiper motor (Vintique)

I know Vintiques instructions aren't very clear. Installed their wiper motor in my '41. Laying on the floor, looking up , trying to figure out if the drawing is upside down or what.
Finally just...

Re: How to use and ohmmeter?

Most older VTVM's (analog) had an adj. with leads apart and adj. for leads together. Newer multi meters "may" have an adj. to zero with the leads together , not so on a digital, at least any I've...

revisiting 1960 Ford 292 Y-Block PCV

So I got into a discussion here about replacing the existing road draft system with a PCV set-up. Got mixed reviews as to if it would suck oil if the PCV valve was installed in the road draft...

Re: 57 Tbird fuel tank sender

If the sender gasket/O ring is distorted and you replace it it helps if you put a slight am't of RTV on the gasket and let it set overnight. They can be a bitch to get/hold in place. I just went thru...

Re: oil with out zink

I also used zinc in my...

Re: wheel spacing 49 wagon hot rod

The spacers I've seen tell you to retorque every 500 miles. Keep an eye on them. They can loosen up.

Re: Por-15

Actually I have used Por-15. It is good paint but cost like hell. I painted the floor and running gear on our '41 Ford in 1995 or so, with Rustoleum, and sold it in '18 and paint was like new. No...
