After purchasing a new starter, the culprit was..... a bad solenoid... At least its fixed. The starter was easier to replace then that dang, underneath the battery behind the firewall, solenoid......

I do have the small braket that conects to the oil pan. My question is... Was the starter jammed because it's going bad or was it jammed because the engine is frozen... I pulled the plugs and found...

def just the two c springs and two small rubber bumpers in the top two corners. Thats it. The springs should be plenty strong to keep it closed.

I just installed speedways headers on my 38 pickup... I don't recommend them if you still have your stock steering box. Lots of hammering was required to make clearance... That and some cursing.

still fits! Had to make my own wood for the cab and bed. Old stuff was pretty bad. Hung the doors too, they needed some massaging...

Ok!
Heres a couple of the bed during the disassembly. Notice that nothing was holding it up really.... I had no clue wood went in between there. Notice my little shade tree mechanic spot...

I think your speedometer connection to your torque tube is upside down. Otherwise it looks pretty sweet.
