Re: 1934 Radio

I looks like S&M no longer repairs radios due to the death of the owner.

Re: KRWilson Shackle Stud Replacer BV-121

I wish I could find the 4 guide bushings / adapters for my recently acquired BV-121 tool. Has anyone made duplicates? They would be worth replicating. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would buy a...

Re: Enclosed Transportation inquiry

I used InterCity about 8 years ago. I believe they charged me about $1,500 for a trip from Greenbay, WI to Fishkill, NY. Good company - no complaints from me. They will provide an estimate online if...

Re: WOODGRAIN (real)

I would like to see a pic of some original 33's. Isn't the '33 a little darker than the '34?

Re: 34 Pickup Brake Adjust Screw Frozen

When removing exhaust manifold bolts I heated up the base of the bolt with Map gas and then sprayed the head of the bolt with Freeze-Off from CRC. They all came out without a problem.

Re: 1985 F150 Vacuum Leak

I replaced the carb to spacer gasket with a NOS gasket I found online. Worked great. The vacuum is pretty steady @ 21. I was under the impression that a spacer was just a flat piece of metal about an...

Re: Hershey Thursday. ..Changes next year

I agree with Oldbluoval about the light poles being the best markers. I sent AACA an email about this years ago and got a reply back from them that wasn't to receptive about the idea. It seemed to me...

Re: 1985 F150 Vacuum Leak

Thanks for the reply. I found both gaskets. The weird thing is that there is no spacer to be found anywhere. I called my local Ford dealer and he looked at a schematic and couldn't tell even if there...

1985 F150 Vacuum Leak

I have a F150 with the 4.9 liter engine with a new 1 barrel carb. I have a vacuum leak at the base of it after installation. I went to order another gasket and now see that it mentions a spacer on...

Re: Hershey 2021

How are the vendors going to get setup in time? It takes several days for everyone to arrive & unload in advance for opening day?

Re: Hudson Valley Mechanic 37 Woody

Pete - check out the Hudson Valley Chapter of the Early Ford V8 Club. They have several members that have cars like us. They might have a recommendation regarding a local mechanic. I would have...

Re: Car Show....CT

I was going to go but it rained all day here in NY. I wanted to check out the Model T's. I am interested in buying one for my daughter for her 16th birthday. It is sort of a standing joke. When...

Re: Car Show....CT

I think the address above is incorrect. It says Sharon, CT. Shouldn't it say Shelton, CT?

1925 vs 1927 T

Trying to get different opinions about which year is best to buy? I wonder which one is best for a newb. I like the idea of a '25 because it reminds me of what a T should look like - all black. I...

1927 Model T Brakes

Trying to learn about the braking system on a T. Did the '26 & '27 have functioning rear brakes? Or were the only brakes actually used while driving just the bands in the tranny?

Definition of Climate Contolled Storage

I know we all have different opinions what is meant by climate controlled storage. Mine would be enclosed dry storage heated to a minimum of 45 degrees and cooled to a maximum of 78 degrees. That is...

Sanford & Son Pickup Truck

What year was the pickup truck in the sitcom. Was it a 1951 or 1952? The internet has it listed as either year depending upon what website you visit.

Re: Anyone Ever Built or Even Seen, An Original type Greasing Pit?

I built my house in 1998 and had a pit included with the blueprints in NYS. The town first denied my building permit because I had oak planks (flammable?) covering the pit when not in use. I revised...
