Re: replacing fuel gauge and sending unit on 55 ford wagon

The extra spade connector on the sending unit was for a condenser to reduce static on the radio. There was also a condenser on the coil and voltage regulator. Still have them on my56 f100.

Re: Starter removal on a 55- HELP

Would it be possible to remove the two bolts in the end plate and disassemble the starter while attached to the engine and then maybe you could remove the armature/bendix from the engine?

Re: DOT5 in Minnesota; keep trying or switch to DOT3?

Re: '59 Ford generator

There were 3 generators that were available 30, 35 & 40 amps. To check the out puts one would have to check the model number.

Re: 54 Merc stumbles from a dead stop

Check your accelerator pump in the carb , should be a squirt of gas coming out of the nozzle in the Venturi when you press the gas pedal as you take off from a stop.

Re: F10 champion plugs

Well I’m assuming they aren’t worth much so I guess I’ll try a set in my 292 and see how it goes. They have been sitting in my shop for 40-50yrs and don’t remember where I got them from
