I use porta power with 2 chizel ends & a safety chain wrapped around it & spring at each end

I personally have had the best luck with Harley Davidson wrinkle black paint. Others I have tried work good but the HD paint is awesome. Pete’s process is same for me

Not crank case vent
It’s in casting space between water inlet & crank seal
