Re: Need help ID'ing a couple air cleaners.

Re: steering wheel removal

Bob, if you do decide to remove the steering wheel, be very careful not to bend the rod on the horn, light switch, rod assembly.

Re: 37 Hump conversion to Flatback

I agree with David....plus, so many of these old Ford's were cut up and screwed up over the years, it just seems ashame to cut one now that has survived. Why not find someone willing to trade what...

Re: 1936 coupe/ sedan rear body mounts

I have two 35 Tudor sedans completely apart. I think those wooden pieces are still attached to that cross channel. I can take a look at them today, try to get dimensions and pics if possible. I may...

Re: Don't use Corn Head Grease in Steering Boxes

I've used JD CHG in the steering box of my '35 fordor (Avatar) since 2013. This has worked fine for me, and I have no plans to change

Re: Carb problem

Hi Bob, I'd suggest contacting a member here who goes by "Charlie ny", aka Charlie Schwendler. He is very knowledgeable on the Holley type carburetors, and a great guy to deal with.

Re: 1934 21 stud need info oil presure +leaks

Probably not from the factory, but I had a '35 21 stud flathead V8 engine rebuilt by Schwalms in Strasburg, Pa., and he used shims on the mains. I found them in place when I had to remove the oil pan...

Re: Transmission case has casting # 48-7XX

Anthony, in my '35 vehicles I use the original #48-xxxx cases so the serial# on the case matches the #'s on the frame, but I use '39 to 48 gear sets that have the better syncros and a '39 type top...

Re: Help with a noisy Banjo rear end.

Not likely that anything can be done to fix that rear as bolted in place. I'd suggest you begin removing the rear and disassemble. If you don't feel comfortable doing the repair, find someone who can...

Re: 1936 LB marking

Another is "loose bearing (s)"

I also have several '36 LB engines that do not have LB stampings on intake deck.

Re: 37-41 Inner Distributor Cap

It has also been necessary for me to sand the OD for proper fit when using '32 to early '36, NOS or good used original inner caps.

That's who I would suggest as well. He offers them with and without a check valve. I've had one on my avatar 35 Fordor for the last 8 years.

Re: Photos In Fordbarn Swap Meet section?

Re: 1936 3 Window Coupe

There's nothing scary (IMO) about having the battery under the floor, and with a no maintenance Optima, I rarely remove the battery door/cover.
I bought a '35 5W coupe that had the battery mounted...
