I would also suggest checking exhaust and manifold for blockage. Critters can get in there with acorns etc and create a restriction. Worth a check happened to me. John

Gary, car was repainted in late 50’s in the lighter green shade prior to my Dad buying the car. Paint underneath does look like Dawn Gray. I looked up color on line, why ford named a greenish color...

Jim From Georgia, I looked in those hard to get at places and still have found the same paint. It’s a darker green with maybe a hint of blue. If I scratch under it it’s just raw steel. This car...
