Re: Help Quick Fuel SL450SV & Y Block 292

Never heard of a phase 2. Learn something new everyday. Exhaust header spacing threw me off.

Re: 56 fender apron retainer

They are different. Same dimensions but the dimple is offset so it does not line up correct. I guess I could grind off the dimple and adjust it to fit.

Re: 56 fender apron retainer

Actually bought a set of the t-bird ones. While they are close the dimple is offset about 3 inches so that it does not line up right. May have to get some sheet steel and bugger up something.

Re: 56 fender apron retainer

Looked thru their catalog and looks like they have clips and molding. Only fender parts I found were for the 60s mopar products.

May have asked this before. Does anyone know where you can find the fender apron retainer. Looked everywhere and even tried the t-bird ones but they are off too much. Part number 16050. Thanks

Re: T85 transmission question

Letting the clutch out in neutral allows the input shaft to spin. This throws the gears out of sync. The shift to 2nd realigns them allowing you to go to 1st again without the grinding. Nature of the...

Re: Inner fender to fender anti squeak rubber

Question on staples. Can you use regular staple gun T50 staples or are they too small in diameter? I have some stainless staples but do not know if the diameter is large enough.

Re: Inner fender to fender rubber seal

Jay from Concours sent me the measurements for the one used on the T-Birds. I will take that and try to make a template to see if it will work on the full size 56. It is 18" x 5"

Re: Body to Frame isolators

OK Thanks guys. The front clip is off the car right now so that helps getting to the front ones. Will loosen all the bolts first before trying to lift it.

Re: Vent window rivet setter.

If you are asking me the hanson part number the main one is HT175 for 9/64 rivets. There is also one for the division bar weatherstrip HT366 for .095 rivets. Note that the 9/64 is too big to fit in...
