The car is a 1930. I did have to make the exact screw you pictured. I was able to do that with a drill, files and hacksaw. I feel I have a personal connection to the car now that I made something...

Thank you Bob C. I was indeed working on the bendix you have shown. Tough little buggers to figure out. But I have the time and haven't been licked by any machine yet.

I haven't been on line for a while but thought I'd share a little project. The screws on the starter backed out and damaged the armature. Thank God there was no damage to the fly wheel. But, then...
