The Australian hinges are shorter and weaker and put a lot more stress on the pins. David

Import from commonwealth country was less the usa. Hence having ford of Australia a subsidy of ford of Canada.

There were no canadian built roadster or touring bodies these were imported from USA. And put on canadian chassis. They did built 2 door and 4 doors bodies in canada. And Canadian top and body...

I have an aussie. Roadster and a canadian touring there is still a couple of orginal pins in the roadster also have some pics of some original tourings from Australia.

Both my 33 and 34 bands measure 5.75 inches in width which makes sense as the the tire is 17 by 5.5

There is also some difference in Canadian to Usa face plates as well.

By squared off what do you mean. 12 leaves seems right for a sedan as roadster is 10 or 11 for the rear depending on the year. 32 and 33 have tapered(three sided is a better description) leaves but...

If the Babbitt is done right 60-100k same as inserts most cars this is fine. But if you run it low on oil and take a main out the insert are easier to fix afterwards. The lb engine you can get...

H. And H want about 500 to do an engine and they machine the crank for a center thrust as the original had a rear thrust the one I convert I used a rear thrust bronze insert.

They are for the 4 cyc rear end and the the late V8 rear require some machining or originals witch are hard to find esp nos gears.

It would be cheaper to find a good lb engine and dress it up unless you have a 32 engine.
