It can be difficult finding the timing dimple with the timing pin when having to fight compression !!! Remove all of the spark plugs and try again .

It would be easier and less expensive to first try a new condenser . Both the coil and the condenser have the same symptoms when going out . let them cool for a while and they will usually run again...

I use the Fun Projects voltage regulator, it takes the place of the cut out and NO modifications to the generator are necessary. I adjust my generator for a 10 amp maximum charge rate for better...

I traded some body and paint work to a friend for a LeBarron Bonney interior kit for my 31 tudor , it was a breeze to install . I'm glad that I got the kit when I did .

In order to run negative ground the battery cables need to be connected as negative - to ground and +positive should connect to the starter switch . This will convert the system to negative ground...

I run mine,12 volt positive ground and NO wires were changed , it has worked perfectly for years . If converting to negative ground wires will need to be changed .

Being as the battery that is used controls the voltage , I've got to wonder if Joe meant amps . Raise the adjustable brush in the generator to reduce amperage out put . Just a thought .

Don't forget to reverse the wires at the ammeter when changing polarity or the ammeter will read backwards .

I believe that the model B distributor cam is the only one made today . The B distributor cam has a better profile and works good on the model A distributor

I would first lightly sand the contacts on the new points and open the gap to twenty thousands, If that didn't work , there is a good chance that the condenser is the problem .

The model A engine only has 14 head studs and nuts . The tiny little 60 horsepower flathead V8 had 17 head studs per head . There just isn't a lot of pressure holding the model A head in place...

If the striker is adjusted too tight it will cause the door to spring open . I always leave a little bit of slack in the adjustment .

You are correct , I meant to say that the distributor shaft turns in a counter clockwise direction . Thanks for bringing this to my attention . I will go back and correct my mistake .

If the new carburetor is adjusted TOO LEAN it can cause backfire . Try opening the GAV a bit and see if it helps . The air adjust screw helps control idle .

The rotor should point exactly like the picture in post number 4 with no counter clockwise movement . The distributor shaft turns in the counter clockwise direction when the engine runs . The least...
