The gaskets work fine the way they were designed.

Why use RTV on these manifolds anyway?
Its not like you have to seal liquids here.

Put about a cup of household Ammonia in a bowl.
Roll up the windows.
Put the bowl in the car overnight.
Smell is gone.
Cheap. Easy. Fast. Safe. Effective.

It is a common held belief that the 1930-1931 pickups were supplied with a left mounted spare tire only. This is not the case. However, left side mounted spare tires are much more common.

I can find good vintage ammeters pretty easily on ebay, but they don't fit in the small space of the A instrument panel, and/or they don't look authentic.

Growley- are you finding good quality...
