You can also use an early small block chevy front timing cover seal which is neoprene.
Its the 1/4 thick one, trim to fit and a dab of silicone at edges.

I used rubber bumper paint (spray) it is somewhat flexible and has held up well.
Works for steering wheels also....

I have the same adapter and used a smaller diameter and shorter filter. Works great.

Thanks for the heads up on the Remflex gaskets. We use them on all the small block Ford
Stroker motors we build and send out.
Since we've been using them we've had no header...

I ran mine that close for several years and all was good until I broke a motor mount
Then it had a run in with my Aluminum double pass $600 radiator.

Yes you can run it without the valve cover. Not much comes out, remember that the early
T's had no valve covers. I ran one once that had a sticky valve, I squirted it with carb
cleaner to unstick...

Our local Maaco will use any paint you supply yourself if you buy it. I have had them paint
With PPG products. They have done it on a week end when they can take the extra time
With good results.

I had a chance to buy a unmachined one, but passed. Yes I new they existed, but not supposed to be to many of them. I think I heard somewhere between 3 and 6.

The price of all has gotten way too expensive so no more publications or car clubs.

Yes they were an accessory wheel made before Ford had demountable rims. I had some on
our 1912 touring with a 1912 patent date on them.
They had 5 bolts holding the wheel on instead of the 4 Ford...
