Re: How to adjust the body panels??

Okay. Now I understand. Got the hood looking good. Got the door gap back. Used the Grille, Inner fender, and the hood filler to arrange everything. Took a while to make it all fit. Looked real good,...

Re: How to adjust the body panels??

Moved hood.. Looks nice. Shimming the body is a pain in the butt. Slow work. I get it just to where I want it.Bolt it down tight, and it goes off about 1/8". Loosen it up. Put in a 1/8" shim. Tighten...

Re: How to adjust the body panels??

When I bolted on the hood for the first time. I never saw any oval, or elongated holes for adjustment. Is that something I need to do on my own?? The gap from the hood to the cowl is rather large....

Re: How to fix ribs??

Had to measure between where he cut his off and where to cut mine. Put the two parts together many times with the bottom bolted to the fenders. Then put the top part on until it all matched up, and...

Re: Rubber nailer??

That makes sense. Thanks. My interior is not the original mohair. It will be Black and Grey swede. It is glued to a 1/8" dense foam. I can drill holes in the panel over the tack strip. Nail it into...

Re: Rubber nailer??

I am trying to picture that. I have the 1937 Ford Book, but it doesn't show much on how it was done. I see that the wind lace goes under the door panel, but I were to nail that to that tack strip.....

Re: How to fix ribs??

Seeing that those bars are all one piece. If I cut them out to fix them.. What is the best way to weld them back in?? Can I do it with a wire feed, or solder them back on??
