Not sure if you decided on what charger to get yet, but I see Northern Tool has a special going on for a battery maintainer. Haven't used it myself, just info.

Thanks, I do have the service manual, but sometimes experience makes things easier. Are there items I should inspect prior to removing the engine? Thanks again. I see Lang's has a rebuilt magneto...

So, it appears that it is coming from the starter area. I pulled the starter off, and there was a collection of copper in that area. The coil in the bendix area doesn't appear to be unraviling any...

Ok..Thanks, I didn't need the timing light. I pulled all four plugs, connected the leads, laid them on the head for a ground, and then cranked the engine over by hand. I could then hear the coils...
