Good idea to do that solder first before cutting.That is the problem the un ravelling and the slot it fits in is so shallow,poor design.Mayby it was supposed to be solder after crimping an someone...

Are you relying on a good amp gauge or tester.Some of the repro amp gauges are made to just look like an amp gauge to fill a hole and do not show true.

I bought my first Model A a 1939 roadster in 1964,I was 18 years old and never actually bought or ever owned a car with an automatic until the eighties. So I have had many V8 Fords from 1937-1946...

Got some checking out to do.Car drives so good except for this issue. I thought the original shift lever ball was worn too much and went from there now I wish I had it back instead of the chrome...

I am using the "600" gear lube that Snyders and Brattons sell. I will try tomorrow shifting from neutral.
