Used to work in a shop that had a medium sized chisel, on one flank there was zerk fitting. In the center of the leading edge, was 1/16" hole.
Did not catch the manufacturer's name.

Old timers way back when would get hold of a customer's gummed up, neglected smoker. Drain the oil fill it with kero let it sit idling until the smoke quit (the rings now were free ) drain and fill...

Hey J. Franklin Spray or mist is the key. The temp will take care of itself. Just don't overwater. Hydraulic lock is a very painful experience
