I didn't check, as it was only a quick visit. However, I would suspect that the Frame is smoot, like later models, otherwise, why would you add these false panels to cover a Frame that was already...

1941 Ford 122 Inch Light Trucks. Notice that these models were available as a V8 or Four, so the description on the Hubcap was changed from V8 to read Ford.

Regular 1939 Ford Deluxe V8 Hubcap with a similar shaped one with the Ford script and no V8 emblem. This one was used only on the Ford Commercials powered by an alternative to the regular Ford V8...

1938 Ford 122-Inch Express & 1939 Ford One Tonner showing the larger Hubcaps with the V8 embossed in them. The regular smaller Pickups had teh same Hubcaps as the same year Passenger Cars.
