> All the wheels appear to be black;
> Radiator caps are the standard type - no Quails;
> Body when dropped onto the frame already has pin stripes.

Re: Distributor Bus Bar Support Assembly wire length

The variation in lengths are factory corrective actions for troubles with the wire chafing / breaking. The last values of 3-3/16" to 3-5/16" are the ones to use in all years.

Re: Body to frame question

The body blocks & their rubber pads setup the clearance between the running board aprons and body. I strive to get a clearance of 0.25" after shimming the body for alignment.

Re: High compression head vs cooling

In my experience, the engines run cooler due to more efficient power stroke combustion.

Re: Wishbone/Trans Connection

Rubber wears rapidly, so it is less durable than the steel parts of the original radius rod ball joint. Given that the radius rod ball is worn, you have choices to restore the joint:
1. Replace the...

Re: B headgasket

The gaskets are the same except for 2 coolant holes that are in the Model B gasket. The Model A gasket is on the left. You can use the Model B gasket in both the Model A and Model B engines.

Re: 12 volt coil with resistor

In 12V electrical systems with breaker point ignitions, ignition coils start the vehicle on 12V through the coil, and the resistor drops the coil to 6V to 8V once the engine is running.

Re: Rubber pads for tail lamp and head lamp stands.

I use one layer of clear shipping tape cut to the shape of the foot print to protect the paint. Works well and cannot be seen. It is also very inexpensive.
