I've restored a few plates, but the ones I just finished were the easiest and turned out the best. After the necessary prep and epoxy primer I rattle-canned the plates with the color of the letters...

I'm starting to put my '36 PU back together and need help from a truck expert. The bottom of my hood sides come to the top of my inner fenders but do not over lap. Is this correct or should there be...

Well, I'm still working on my '36 pu and what I usually call it is "Blankity-blank-blank". You can use you imagination to fill in the blanks.

Thanks Lawson, I knew you'd be the one to set me straight on the welting. Yup, it's titled as a '36 but has a lot '35 parts, a hybred indeed.

Gentlemen, On the '36 Pickup does welting go where the fenders meet the running boards or only where the fenders join the the various body parts? Thanks

Nearly ready to spray some black paint on my 36' pickup. I'm curious about Ford's original paint in 1936, how smooth was it and especially how glossy was it?

I used the Rust-o-lium system at my previous residence and was very disappointed. Everything from tranny fluid to tires left perminant stains. It is a much less expensive option however.
