Re: Make a model T a little more safe

Common knowledge in tractors and earthmovers may apply here. If your vehicle has a roll over protection system you need to be belted in but if your vehicle is open with no ROPS you do not want to be...

Re: Low to High Gear

I’ve noticed not everyone will back off the power when engaging high gear. You should. Also believe it or not I changed from generic to Valvoline oil and it made the the clutch smoother.

Re: Thanksgiving week T project work...

We are getting snow. Doesn’t happen very often here any more so I took the T out for a while. The windshield defroster isn’t working too good and it is a little cold but a nice ride anyway.

Re: Thanksgiving week T project work...

Yep. Raining today and tomorrow. Calling for a little snow but I doubt it. Being an open car I guess a coat is in order.

Re: Thanksgiving week T project work...

I like driving my T around the holidays. I took it out the other day and the engine would not shut off when I turned the key off. (Distributor & no mag) l killed the engine with clutch and looked...

Re: Model A intake on a Model T

When I first got my 26 Roadster it had an A intake and carb. And I hated it. I constantly pulling and cleaning plugs. It also had 14mm plugs and I changed them to the OEM plugs but they too would...

Re: Rewooding '24 = Frustration

Yep. Years ago a friend and I rewooded my 19 touring by hand using old pieces as a guide. We had basic wood tools and had a great time doing it. For example, for the corner piece of the back of the...

Re: Keeping a Model T running

I would tend to agree. I have both, an A and T, and my T is my go to car. The A is more, oh, modern. It drives more like a modern car. The T is indeed slower but if you do not push it to go faster...

Re: Model T steering goes over center?

This happened once when I was driving my dads T as a kid. I was in a turn and turned the wheel a little too hard after I was full turn. Then turning the wheel left the car went right. Dad just turned...

Re: UHaul open car hauler for a Model T?

I used a u-haul car trailer to get my 26 Roadster and later on my 31 sport coupe home. Both were 1 1/2 hours away. No problems. Worked great. I toke the freeways but I kept the speed down to about...

Re: Model T as a daily driver

Oh yeah. Your right red. Here in Ca. You cannot use horseless carriage plates for dd but you can use yom or current issue license plates. I declare realistic mileage to my insurance co.

Re: Model T as a daily driver

My two cents is absolutely you can use your T as a dd in the that scenario. If you check out the mtfca forum you will find several folks that use their T as dd. I use mine more than any other vehicle...

Re: 1930 Model A sport coupe

SOLD I see the price I had was too high for the market. I would very much like to get $16,000.00 but I will consider offers. I would rather see a model A guy get this car than someone off CL. This...

I’ve been thinking of selling my Sport coupe and have the same concerns. I know it isn’t how much I have invested but rather what the market will bear. I just wish the market will bear a little more....

She doesn’t LET him see his old friends? Did he marry his mom? Yeah I have seen this before but I sure don’t understand it. Time for him to put on his big boy pants.
